Really enjoying this league guys. A whole 5 points split the top 4 currently and 10.5 for the top 5. Just got home from uni to watch baseball tonight to see 6 HR's and a quiet 24 RBI's on the day, good times.

Ya this is probably one of those most competitive leagues I have been in. I'm the Bad News Cubbies, and if it wasnt for my pitching I would be at the bottom for sure. I have a feeling the next month there will be a lot of wheeling and dealing. I have trades already out there for some of my closers for some big power hitters. Loving kicking butt in saves, but I'm getting smoked in the Home Run Department. Hate to admit it but it looks like I'm going to have to trade with the top 3 teams to get some quality hitters.

I'm always nervous to wheel and deal, not that it means I won't. Sent you a message via the tsn site. Would be good if we had a few more of us on the forum, get a bit more banter going.

also - dont be nervous to deal, it is the best part of the game....right now all the leagues are playing pretty close to the vest, except of course the PCL - we are up to 30 trades and 313 pick ups....

Really just haven't found the right deal. Need a closer but not sure on what I wanna give up to get him. I would also like to announce my ever lasting love for Chipper Jones!

60 Driver is looking like the one to beat at the moment with like a 10pt lead. Least two guys named Joel are atop the leaderboard. I see you're the only one to vote in over a day. Guess i'll take the most of Uggla's hot home run stick for a one more day.

I admit to being a bit frustrated with more people not voting on your trade. It is pretty cut and dried. It is obviously a fair trade and should have gone through immediatly. While I am not the most aggresive trader (I have only made 4 offers so far in this league) I feel that unless colusion (sp?) is obvious almost all trades should be approved.

Hopefully yours will be approved soon.

Glad that trade went through with you hibbzy, I believe it is a good trade for both of us. I have always been high on Beltran so I am excited to see him turn it around now. Hope Rauch keeps getting saves for you. Joel I would still love to trade with you just think now I might have enough power to get back into the Runs, HRs, and RBI Categories. But will keep in touch and I agree that unless it looks like a team who is giving up is just trading people away for nothing all trades should be accepted.

All I have to say is this is one of the closest leagues I have ever been in. We have 5 teams with at least 90 points and a few right below it. I hope it stays active and I hope everyone makes a run at 60 Driver, damn guy cant miss a beat, but hopefully someone can knock him off finally.

It's awesome, I spend way too much time looking at my team everyday. Although in my hungover state that's probably all i'm gonna be good for today. How bout Mr Werth, good day today. Definately planning on being in the top 3 at the end of the year, just love being in a competitive league.

you guys are what the site was made for and we have a a few bad apples this season, which was expected, but the vast majority of guys on here are really quality players and after the system starts to work all of the leagues on here will be like this..

Yeah that's definately worth a laugh. Him and the ducks haven't made a transaction in a long while, maybe Hooray Beer!! is awol also. Gah I spent ages spacing out all the stats so they were nice and neat and then the came out shitte. I was wondering Juniper, what happens if you end up a real close 4th or 5th to the top 3, which may happen in this league, do you get bumped or just stay in the same league next year.

Glad to see the top half of this league so competitive! To answer your question about the promotion/demotion:

1st, 2nd, 3rd move up a level

4th, 5th, 6th remain at their current level

7th-12th move down a level

I think where Dunedin was going is that there will be some absentee positions available in the upper leagues that would need to be dropped completely rather then just knocked back a division. It would make sense to promote the competetive 4th and 5th place finishers to fill the missing spots and have all new members start out in single A next year.
